A reminder

Published: 24 March, 2011

• I DARE say there are many who think that “at last something’s been done”, (Fined Heath cyclist says: I don’t run down old ladies, March 17).

I would just remind those people that, when cyclist Emma Foa was killed by the driver of a left-turning lorry in Camden, the driver was fined just £300 and did not even lose his licence temporarily.

Compare this with a fine of £330 for someone who was cycling on a No Cycling path but did no harm to anyone at all.

Is this justice?

It certainly isn’t common sense.
