Outsiders determined to cause trouble

• AT Monday’s full council meeting I was disgusted to see people charge at our councillors while they were talking to residents and listening to their concerns. Lots of older people at the lobby were really scared and there were screaming children.
I must commend the way councillors and police dealt with the incident. These troublemakers were not Camden residents. They were talking about causing problems from the start.
At last Wednesday’s cabinet meeting, council leader Councillor Nasim Ali ensured that lots of deputations were heard and the Mayor tried to do the same on Monday but the unnecessary interruptions did not help.
The leader made excellent speeches at both meetings, stating that he was saddened and angered by the government cuts. It is the Con-Dem government we must blame not our hard-working councillors.
We are fortunate to have councillors who put residents first and are protecting the most vulnerable.
Tory councillors are doing what Cameron and Pickles want by dismantling local government and handing over services to the private sector.
