• CAMDEN Market brings millions of pounds and millions of people to the area. 

Liz Jellinek (The way we were… March 10) is right to point out that those of us who live next to the market don’t always feel like we get any benefit from it. 

We certainly experience the costs! 

A tube station we cannot use, dirty streets and shops for tourists. That is why it is so important that Camden Council ensures that the plans to redevelop the so-called “Hawley Wharf” market include significant contributions to the local community including social housing and money for transport improvements.
