Cuts will prove fatal for most vulnerable

• REGARDING proposed changes to the services provided by Camden Council for the elderly…

I am a volunteer at the Holborn Community Association Good Neighbour Scheme and have volunteered in the past at Millman Street centre. The painful consequences of a reduction to these services must be explained. They are not luxuries. They are absolutely necessary for many residents. Some people only leave their flats to visit Millman Street. To many losing their services would mean losing practically all contact with the world outside.

I believe that in some cases this change would be fatal. Anybody who thinks that these are services that we can afford to lose does not understand what they are.
