CNJ COMMENT - The People’s Supermarket

Published: 3 March, 2011

HOW to make enemies and lose old friends!

It is hard to believe that the Labour leadership were not aware that their employees, the officials, intended to hound the People’s Supermarket for failure to pay their rates. The People’s Supermarket, as a kind of co-operative is in many ways in the tradition of Labour philosophy.

It should be supported.

If Labour knew and still, blindly, wanted to pursue the shop to the door of the court, then they are being confrontational – again!

If they did not know, then the question is:  Who runs the Town Hall? Unelected officials – or our representatives?
