Broadband just so slow

• I HAVE discovered, by persistently complaining about problems with my broadband connection, that the firm involved appears to have been selling packages beyond its physical capacity to deliver in my area. 

Particularly in the evenings and at weekends, the service can get so slow as to be unusable. The firm’s technical support has been promising dates by which the issue would be resolved but these have come and gone. 

I wonder whether this is an issue for Trading Standards.
