Blind spot over cuts

• I HAVE recently moved to Islington and am more than a little shocked by what the local Liberal Democrat leader seems to be saying in the press.

He appears to oppose cuts locally but chooses to ignore the fact that it is his Lib Dem colleagues who have pro-actively embraced the proposals made by the Conservative-led government that is making these cuts?

It’s becoming clearer that a significant number of people voted Lib Dem at the last election because they believed they were a left-wing alternative to Labour. I’m certain they won’t be making the same mistake again.
