Wider successes of The King’s Speech
Published: 3 June, 2011
• THE article (King’s Speech therapist’s plaque: Grandson of Lionel Logue attends special unveiling on Harley Street, May 27) was great.
As a PWS (person who stammers) I am grateful for the plaque.
This Aussie speech therapist of Irish grandparents now holds the distinction of being the most famous speech therapist in the history of the world.
I will be forever grateful to the legacy of Logue. Sure, the film is about stammering, but the level of attention now given to speech therapists will carry over to help people with other speech problems. See the charity site: www. stammeringhelp.org
