What a shameful way to treat us elderly people!

• THE luncheon club I have been attending for more than
25 years is due to close in March next year, and with the demise of the meals-on-wheels service in December this year, it means that I and others will be doomed to sit in our armchairs watching television or staring into space, to survive on sandwiches, just to vegetate and die of sheer boredom.
David Cameron before the Coalition government came to power, criticised the way the elderly were being treated by Labour. We are now a lot worse off. And with the possibility of the fuel allowance being cut by half when energy prices are rising drastically, we’ll be much worse off again.
The people making decisions should remember they will be old one day. Would they like to be treated in this shameful way?
I may add as far as Camden Council is concerned, Pat Callaghan, the councillor with responsibility for adult social services is not one of the three elected councillors for the Kilburn ward. So are we in this area being properly represented?
