What’s after the nursery?
Published: 30 June, 2011
• THE forthcoming closure by Camden of Cresswood Nursery in Queen’s Crescent, has left me dumbfounded.
My youngest grandson has been attending this nursery for more than a year now and we have never been happier.
The care he is receiving there is second to none. It is a lovely nursery which has been there for over 20 years and the staff are “real” warm people, it has a welcoming atmosphere and very happy children.
My daughter, who has two children, has experienced other nurseries but nothing has come close to the care and home-from-home feeling this nursery provides. She was over the moon when she gained a place for him there.
What happens now to the 23 displaced children. They will all be chasing the same places (if any). My daughter’s experience after contacting eight nurseries is that they are either closing down, have long waiting lists or are far too expensive.
Why is this happening?
What is going to happen to the tenants’ hall now?
Just another property left vacant and open to vandalism.
