A thriving youth club

• AS a director of Queen’s Crescent Community Association I think you gave a wrong impression of Queen’s Crescent (Street shooting brings plea for youth centre reprieve, May 26).

Of course, I agree that cuts in money for youth work in this deprived area is shortsighted but I think your readers should know that Queen’s Crescent Community Association run a thriving youth club with 300 members, it is open five days a week  and has an average 160 visits per week.

Plans for this summer include a boxing project in association with the police, a sports leadership programme  working with Camden sports development team and tutored work in our music studio.
