Pity Sir Christopher Wren, it’s no Manhattan

• CAMDEN Council refused permission for the Dalby Street flats.

Mayor Boris Johnson is responsible for the plan going ahead. Had developers hoped to get a slice of Talacre Park?

There are protected sight-lines towards St Paul’s. Hampstead Heath Hill is one or was that until Ken Livingstone (when mayor) gave permission for the Shard by London Bridge.

Look how it dominates the skyline.

Anyone who treasures Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece of St Paul’s Cathedral will condemn that barbaric decision.

The cathedral has been cleaned for its 300th anniversary this month. Mr Livingstone will not be getting my vote next year.

London is not Manhattan!
