Just get rid of gyratory
Published: 10 June, 2011
• WE need action on the Archway gyratory issue, not more fine Labour words. Councillor Paul Smith has been quoted as saying that “the council has to make sure that scarce money goes to priorities such as schools and children’s centres’. Yet Labour is spending £2million on fancy new pavements and some trees in the middle of the gyratory.
This all adds up to a very confused council administration. If it has spare cash it should spend it on removing the gyratory – which is the real issue in Archway – and if it doesn’t have the cash how can it afford the pavements and trees?
