Wharf views wanted

I KNEW the area between Camden Lock and Kentish Town Road was going to be developed, but I did not know until the New Journal printed a drawing of the proposed new Camden Market how big it would be.

Our residents’ association had not been informed despite being in Camden Council’s Cindex.

I had to try to find further information from two other local groups before I was given the Hawley Wharf Action Group’s details.

The group (Views of residents sought, July 14) has been formed to raise awareness about the proposed development of the site and is trying to ensure local people have an opportunity to have their say about what the development should look like. 

I found out there are to be local shops. Since then I have been trying to work out what kind of local shops I would like to have along Hawley Road.

I would urge anyone and everyone who is interested or concerned about that area to contact their residents’ or tenants’ group and urge them to join HWAG, or contact HWAG direct (hawleywharfactiongroup@gmail.com).

I believe the action group are planning to ask people to fill in a simple questionnaire to raise awareness. If someone knocks on your door, please take a minute to fill in the form.
