Stars on the right track at London Youth Games

BRAVO to all the young people and children who took part in the London Youth Games (Celebrating Islington’s stars at the London Youth Games, July 8). What’s more, parents and trainers deserve praise for the hard work, support and encouragement they give their children.

We hear so much about the problems of young people but here we can see that it’s not all one-sided. The bigger story is of those young people who train hard, put in the effort and their parents who stick by them, often travelling up and down the country to get to events.  

It’s not just about one weekend, it’s about doing it every week and quietly getting on with it.
