Our wilful blindness?
Published: July 28, 2011
I again extend my condolences to the families of cyclists killed and injured in the area of Camden Road now known as “death mile”.
As usual civil service bureaucracy engages in lots of paper shuffling and minimal action or worse, at times, over-action. We need to pay attention and demand a civil service truly capable of managing the concerns of all citizens. At the same time cyclists must also take responsibility, by at least wearing luminous jackets.
Why are we (the taxpayers) shocked?
We have allowed this behaviour.
In the light of recent media events we, ourselves, are guilty of “wilful blindness”
Be seen, be safe.
