A monument too far?
WHY do the proponents of the Bomber Command Memorial in Green Park need such a gigantic monument? Never have I heard a complaint that, for example, the Cenotaph is too small.
The City of Westminster is profligate with its green spaces. Compare that with the Corporation of London, which treasures every window box let alone any flowers or green verge.
Allow me to suggest that the Bomber Command Memorial smacks of megalomania.
Is it too late to convene a meeting of all concerned?
