Why residents are fearful of tower plans

• IN opposition Labour told residents that the developer who buys the Town Hall Annexe will build a tower as tall as Centre Point (Good Lord no! We’re definitely selling up, January 27).

At the time Labour said that they’d fight tooth and nail to give the developer strict instructions on what they can and cannot build.

Now they are running the council, they have gone completely silent on whether there will be a planning brief at all. No wonder residents are worried.
