Park must stay open
Published: 3 February, 2011
• AS you might know, there is a new Prime Minister and that means a new government. That government is making a few changes that not too many of us are fond of. It is closing most of England’s fun and nature areas, including the forests.
With less money, the councils are having to close places. I worry about Freightliners Farm, near Holloway Road. If it was closed how would city children meet farm animals?
It is completely wrong that they want to get rid of the workers at Gillespie Park.
I walk through there to school and it’s the best part of my day. With so much work to manage a park it deserves to be kept open.
If you agree with me you could help too by sending a letter to Islington Council. If not, try something else. Bet it would be nice to have a go and prove David Cameron wrong.
