Our estate is just great

• FOR the second week running, Popham Estate Tenants and Residents Association (Petra) is rubbishing our estate (Poet is not averse to complaints in rhyme, January 28). 

I am a tenant who has lived on the estate for 26 years. Last summer, I had a complete new kitchen, new radiators, new boiler (which now costs me half that of my old boiler) and electrical work done. I was over the moon with the work carried out, and so were my neighbours. 

I don’t know where Patricia Nolan and others get the idea that we live on a terrible estate.

I love the Popham, and so do a lot of my neighbours. Perhaps Petra representatives ought to try speaking to the tenants they supposedly represent, and stop trying to get their name in the local paper every week.

If not, they should step down at the next meeting, and let someone else speak to the tenants. Quite honestly I have no idea who Ms Nolan is and neither do any of my neighbours.
