Mind games

• WHAT was “Freud’s legacy’’(Review, February 18)?

He said of JS Mill: “He was perhaps the man of the 19th century who best managed to free himself from the domination of customary prejudices.”

The same could apply to Freud in the 20th.

His was a laudable and fierce critique of “religious belief”.

He sought to change the world by giving a universal theory of human behaviour to explain how the mind worked. We all need to free our minds from customary prejudices, don’t we?
