Education say, please

• LABOUR has been trying to bring a school to our area for four decades – it’s no wonder, then, that parents have now taken matters into their own hands, and put together a plan for their own school.

The council is now deciding what it thinks of this plan. They want a secondary south of the Euston Road, but I’m not sure if they like the idea of residents coming up with ideas or running things themselves.

They shouldn’t make this decision behind closed doors. Labour’s been back in power for nine months but residents have had no say. Whether the council comes out for or against, I do think openness would be a fairer show of respect to those parents involved.
