Yes please

• SAD to see that Denis Hodgkinson does not think that AV is a change worth voting for (Yes or no dilemma, April 7).

Far from being cynical or a way of giving any party more power, AV will make all politicians’ hold on power weaker. All seats will be less safe than they are now.

Giving people more power like this is a change worth fighting for; to focus instead on whether there are better changes risks passing up a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for reform.
