Roamer life is easier

Published: 21 April, 2011

• THE Roamer parking scheme is more than welcome. I find it logical since we, the council tax-payers, do not have to worry every time we park for a short while in our own borough.

The so-called Greens, who appear to be living on a different planet, and the Lib Dems talk of “pollution” and “congestion”. They seem to have a very short memory. They were the very ones who supported us against residents’ parking schemes some years ago.

But in those days, according to them, there was no pollution or congestion.

The Roamer scheme has made a lot of local taxpayers’ lives easier without causing any parking problems to other residents or congestion or pollution.

My advice to the Greens is: if you do not like living in a polluted city, go and live in the countryside.

And do not forget when you decide to come to the city to hire a donkey, not a car, or you will be polluting the atmosphere.
