The PM’s politics of hypocrisy

Published: 28 April, 2011

• HOW can the Prime Minister not balk when telling us that a fairer voting system is too complicated when he himself was elected leader by a similar system?

The reason first past the post is not used for internal Conservative elections is to make sure that the winner does not win with the support of only a small faction of the party.

Is this not a typical example of the hypocrisy of politics today?

I’ll have him know that I am more than capable of putting my first choice candidate first, my second choice second, and to continue ranking the candidates as I see fit.

I’d like to know from Mr Cameron: if it’s good enough for him, why not for us?
