Noisy foretaste of HS2 things to come?

Published: 7 April, 2011

• LATELY at weekends this year up till March 21, Network Rail has been working overnight on the railway at their access point in Gloucester Avenue by the canal bridge with huge disturbance to residents.

On Sunday March 20 from 6am, six men with angle grinders worked on the railway tracks, causing huge noises and sparks flying into the air.

If the fast-track HS2 project work were to go ahead, there would be huge prolonged disturbances to residents and Railtrack have already shown they simply do not care.
