No junk for lunch

Published: 7 April, 2011

• I GUESS that the headteacher of Acland Burghley School is doing the job on behalf of the parents of the pupils (Lunchtime lock-in, Letters, March 31).

As a parent of teenage children, I would not like them to eat unhealthy takeaway at lunchtime. I am sure that Mark Taha was told by his parents to eat greens when he was a child!

If pupils do not go out for takeaways, the problem of lunch paraphernalia on the streets nearby will be greatly diminished, too
