Babel shame

• SHAME on Theo Blackwell for ruthlessly deviating from the priorities of the Labour administration in order to build a £100million “Tower of Babel” for Camden council staff.

It is deeply troubling that Cllr Blackwell has chosen to pursue this Lib Dem/Tory policy. Further insulting is that Labour campaigned against this development during last year’s election. 

I feel defrauded that he has chosen to press ahead and ignore other options from colleagues in his own party.

Selling the Town Hall Extension, Crowndale Centre, a site in Cockpit Yard and St Pancras Way to fund a single luxury tower for Camden Council staff, while the rest of us in Camden have our services and buildings axed, is wholly unacceptable. 

We did not vote for it, we do not want it and if it goes ahead he and his colleagues will face the wrath of residents.
