Speak up!

• THERE was a sad realisation at the last full Camden Council that Ellen Luby, the one constant member of the public who has been with us all these years, is no longer around. 

Her death leaves the chamber during almost empty of people other than officers and  councillors. I raised this at the last meeting and asked for change that would allow greater community participation – beyond the few deputations allowed at the start of meetings. 

I’d simply like to see some time set aside for the public to put formal questions to executive members.
