Recycling arguments
Published: 2 September, 2010
• THE only answer that I have received from Camden to my open letter (A fine thanks for my recycling effort, August 19), was an addition of insult to injury.
On Wednesday I made sure all the recycling was in an easily collectible condition and placed the remaining small black sack of rubbish outside my garden gate for easy collection.
In the morning I found this bag had been brought back up the front path and dropped squarely on some of my flowers.
True to form, the recycling bins were again left in the middle of my path, blocking access to the gate.
Further to this, I and several other residents in this area have observed the plastic and paper being tipped into the same crusher together over the last two weeks.
Apart from the fact that this makes a mockery of our having painstakingly sorted it out in the first place, what is the ongoing policy?
