Meddling with park!

• BEACH volleyball in Horse Guards Parade is going to be a great spectacle and we are excited that the buildings and parks in old Westminster will be the backdrop to some of the Olympic Games.  

From the vague preliminary consultations, we know that 60 per cent of St James’s Park will be used to support the Olympic events in the Mall and Horse Guards Parade. We hope that there is a large amount of consideration given to the park, the wildlife and plants, protection of the lake and provision made to control the damage that will be caused by the infrastructure and the thousands of people using the remaining 40 per cent of the park. 

Let’s hope there is a large repairs budget and that the lights are not left on all night.
