Gospel Oak cuts crime

Published: 9 September, 2010

• IN view of previous correspondence about crime in Gospel Oak, I’m delighted to be able to highlight the exceptional success of our Safer Neighbourhoods police team over the summer months this year.

Comparative crime figures for a similar period were as follows:
Jun-Aug 2009: Total 480; Jun-Jul 2010: Total 170 Serious offences also down (comparative 2009/2010): Burglary: 70/20;
Robbery: 14/0; Violence against person: 104/38; Criminal damage: 138/30; Theft and handling: 118/58

So overall total crime over the summer months cut by over 30 per cent with even more dramatic falls in the most serious categories.

An excellent result for all Gospel Oak residents.
