First they kill wild flowers...

• I AM pleased to hear about the campaign to ban those environmental disaster machines – leaf blowers.

Thinking back over many years, it has been evident that Camden Council has always been anti the environment.

It started with the poison they used to spread all over the streets to kill a few wild flowers which inevitably also killed the insects and so in turn starved small birds and killed off our native sparrow.

So, people now throw bread everywhere for the pigeons and other vermin.

And now, Camden pollutes our air and drives us mad with the terrible noise from their leaf blowers.

What is wrong with a good old-fashioned rake and brush? Much more efficient and kinder to us and our environment.
