Corn shock

• HOW many people choked on their coffee on reading the cooking column headline “Polenta of things you can do with a corn on the cob!”? (It’s “corn on the cob” or “a corncob,” by the way.) The headline, is rather startling for readers of William Faulkner’s novel Sanctuary.
