Cheaper bags

• FOR the benefit of your correspondent (Letters, September 2) I share the information that biodegradable food composting bags for residents’ “caddies” are available in packs of 52 bags for £3.99, rather cheaper than those she found at Waitrose.

My source of supply is my local garden centre.

True, we had to contact Camden’s recycling folk to obtain a list of suppliers of the bags.

This was perhaps the original error in the new system, although the department did send us a small extra supply of bags by way of compensation.
