Secrecy of trust is addictive

Published: 7 October, 2010

• THE Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust is always happy to tell us how well it is doing.

Its website blasts its awards.

However, it seems unlikely that the foundation trust will want to announce its latest award – it is the only foundation trust criticised by the Information Commissioner for failing to comply with the rules about supplying information.

This comes at the same time as the foundation trust has decided that it will no longer take questions from the public at its board meetings.

Secrecy is addictive.

I wonder if any of the addiction specialists working for the foundation trust can tackle this problem with its board of directors.
