It’s depressing to be seen as drink and drugs destination

• I WOULD like to correct a slight misunderstanding in the article, Flip flops for drunk revellers (October 7).

What I said was drinkers should not be allowed to drink outside some premises until late at night.

It’s been noted that other drinkers mingle with their own supply of drink.

Licensees should stop serving once people are over-drinking.

This common practice cannot be noticed while 50 or more people are on the street. It is also an invitation for criminal activity.

No more late-night licences should be granted in Camden Town.

This policy must be strictly enforced. Buses should be allowed to travel south down High Street.

This would be helpful for shoppers and give easier access for late revellers.

Residents have to suffer from constant noise pollution, and clean up human waste in the morning.

It’s a depressing message to invite youngsters to come to Camden Town for drink and drugs.

It doesn’t allow them to see that this behaviour could bring them future health problems.

Communities and the government must work together to sort out how best to help our youngsters.

Prevention is better and cheaper than cure.
