Tube strikes

• TRANSPORT Commissioner Peter Hendy joked that Tube ticket office staff are so underworked they have time to read books.
He told a conference that if they want to read a lot of good novels the best place to do that is as a booking clerk in a suburban Tube station.
Union general secretary Gerry Doherty said Mr Hendy’s comment was “patronising” and offensive.
The TSSA and the RMT plan to destroy more London businesses struggling to survive from week to week.
The unions are going on strike over jobs that don’t actually exist!
Shame on them.
