Doubled up

• TWO drivers were not best pleased when I challenged them regarding their vehicles  parked on double yellow lines in Baynes Street. 

One was a Sainsbury’s delivery vehicle and the other a car belonging to an estate agent’s contractor, whose response was threatening. 

Both vehicles were a potential obstruction.  The traffic warden was too slow to slap a ticket on the van; indeed, the warden seemed half asleep!

What a pity that we have not in place a system whereby just a simple photograph of these illegally parked vehicles would be sufficient to send by email from a website for the police to deal with in due course.
