Challenges

Published: 25 November, 2010

• THE council is facing serious challenges to improving homes and services in the Gospel Oak area with reduced funding from central government.

We are keen to discuss this challenge with local businesses, community groups and residents’ associations so that we can work together to determine what the key issues are and how best to address them.

The council has not taken any decisions about how to improve Gospel Oak and will decide the way forward working in partnership with the community.

We are taking the first steps towards a partnership by holding initial consultation meetings, led by councillors, with members invited from over 70 stakeholder groups including representatives of tenants’ and residents’ associations, businesses, service providers and community groups.

If you represent a group who would like to take part in these meetings or would like to be involved in discussions about the regeneration of the Gospel Oak area you can make an inquiry via the council’s website camden.gov.uk/go-regen or by phoning 020 7974 2642.
