Raising Albert Hall roof
Published: 6 May, 2010
• HOW wonderful to read in that 2000 children from Camden schools were able to raise the roof with music and song (Some sound performances at the Albert Hall, April 29).
I enjoyed the lively photographs of children both in studious concentration as they performed, and celebrating happily afterwards.
There was however, one puzzling reference for me, in that two groups of bright-eyed children, sporting Brecknock School uniforms, were described as Eleanor Palmer pupils.
While I am aware that Brecknock is a great school, I was surprised to learn that its pupils are now apparently being photographically hijacked!
I do hope that you may be able to reassure me that these wonderful children are actually still busy working hard and performing fantastic songs and recorder music at Brecknock School… and will still be there to entertain and enthral at the next Brecknock Community Festival on Friday
June 25.
