Opposition

• WE would like to thank the voters of Swiss Cottage ward for their support last week and we look forward to continuing to work for the good of this wonderful and diverse area.
We are most grateful for the good wishes we’ve received from supporters of all parties and none. We were, of course, disappointed at the overall result in the Camden Council elections, but wish the new Labour council administration well. We will be constructive opposition councillors.
In this new situation, Andrew has decided to stand down as group leader but will remain an active ward councillor. We all look forward to working with the new Conservative leader in Camden, Martin Davies, to do the best we can for Camden and to build on the strong support shown for our party right across the borough as we enter challenging times.
