Ode to an urban beauty

• PLANE (plain?) response to “I think that I shall never see…” (Letters, April 29).
Have you seen our glorious tree
Which stands within the house 1(B)?
It spreads branches above the road
And gives much joy to young and old.
It absorbs a lot of CO2
Which does much good for me and you
For more than a century it has stood
To prove the benefit of urban wood.
