Maybe time to grab cab

• PAULINE Lord asks why I evoked a child as being a potential victim of a dangerous driver (Driving test re-sits at 80, May 21). It is simply the fact that children tend to dash out into traffic with less care than adults.

Mary Cosh’s letter did nothing to reassure me. She states: “it is... likely I shall fail the test and my work shall be seriously affected.” Precisely my point.

If she can afford to run a car, she can afford to take minicabs. Her research is local.
By the way, this isn’t ageist. I am no spring chicken myself.
