ELECTION 2010: CNJs partisan coverage

Published: 20 May, 2010

As a person with no political affiliations whatsoever I found your election result issue shockingly partisan, for a paper branding itself “The independent London paper”.
More than two thirds of people who voted did so against Glenda Jackson, and her closest rival was 42 votes behind.
Hardly the resounding mandate your headlines implied.

That she was voted in is simply the result of our outdated voting system which will hopefully be sorted out at some point.
Meanwhile though, not to worry, Ms Jackson will continue not to show up at Westminster just as she doesn’t show up in Hampstead so we’ll just have another term of an absentee minister “representing” us.
Thanks
