Contribution - thanks from Labour ward candidates - Fortune Green

• WE’D like to thank the over 1,000 people in Fortune Green ward who, despite being deluged with tons of multi-coloured glossy leaflets from the Tories (thanks to Lord-over-the-water Ashcroft) and Liberals, turned out to vote Labour on May 6.
Although they failed to get a long-overdue Labour victory in the ward, they will have made a vital contribution to the re-election of Glenda Jackson.
