Challenge

• CAMPAIGNING to represent King’s Cross on the council has been exhausting but rewarding.
Camden Council has a £59million budget gap over the next three years. Labour will need to reconcile its numerous pledges to King’s Cross residents, plug that financial hole and avoid landing residents on low incomes with large council tax hikes.
The biggest challenge will be how on earth Labour can provide the improvements to council homes that tenants are crying out for, if they are removing funding for it.
Tenant after tenant dragged me into their homes to show me the appalling conditions they’d been left in.
