Is Party going back to roots?

THE swell of emotions that have arisen following the death of Michael Foot suggests that idealism is still alive and well, and that the idealism that gave birth to the Labour Party a century ago is more deeply rooted among party members and camp followers than the party machine placemen imagined. Michael Foot was more than just a “decent” Labour man. His beliefs went to the core of what people used to associate with old Labour. Can they now be reinvigorated?
