Outstandingly good guide to Ofsted-speak
• AS a new governor at Carlton School I would like to thank the New Journal for the article on our Ofsted inspection (Pupils’ care and guidance ‘outstanding’, March 18).
We hear and read so much doom and gloom about Gospel Oak and it is refreshing to see some of the very positive things that are going on in the area.
New governors have, many things to learn, particularly about Ofsted-speak.
I understand that they have four rating categories, inadequate, satisfactory, good and outstanding.
The fact that overall Carlton was rated as good and in three areas outstanding is a great tribute to the staff.
