Listen to real health experts

• SINCE the threat to the Whittington Hospital’s A&E department first emerged in November, each week has brought with it a new voice of protest. But surely none can be more significant than the statement issued collectively by all of the hospital’s consultants, who have bravely issued a statement against the changes this week.
Time and time again, the NHS officials implementing the changes have claimed they are working to a blueprint of change backed-up by “sound clinical evidence”.

The statement says: “We have no doubt that retaining a full accident and emergency at the Whittington is in the best interests of the people in North Central London.”
Now will they listen?
